SC Gamma Foundation (Housing Corporation)

lodge1.jpg

The SC Gamma Foundation, or Housing Corporation, was originally founded in the early 1980's as a way to pave the path toward the ultimate goal of one day securing a housing for the active chapter. The vision was that a future complex would be 100% privately owned and operated by the SC Gamma Foundation and completely independent from Clemson University. Currently, the Housing Corporation owns and manages The Lodge which is located near Lake Hartwell on Seneca River Rd.

The Lodge occupies a magnificent 15 acre property just 10 minutes from campus. This property was acquired around 10 years ago and features a very comfortable and quite living space for 4-5 active brothers that resides on a beautiful and spacious lot located just off the lake. In addition to serving as a living space for active brothers, The Lodge is also used for active chapter meetings and various alumni events.

The SC Gamma Foundation/Housing Corporation is a 501(c)7 non-profit organization that functions as an independent entity. It has its own board of directors, by-laws, and charter that are completely separate from the active chapter, the Chapter Advisory Board, and the SC Gamma Alumni Association. Here is a list of the current board of directors chaired by president Ed Mellete. Please direct all housing related inquiries to Ed Mellette.
